When should I order my dress?

Dresses take longer than most expect, and each designer may vary in delivery. Most designers offer what they call a Rush delivery, however it does cost extra. Typically, 4-8 weeks prior to the wedding date will require a rush. This applies to Mother of the Bride gowns, bridesmaids and flowergirl dresses only.

For Bridal gowns, we suggest ordering 6-9 months prior to the wedding. Remember each dress is made specifically to order so it does take time. However, in some cases rush deliveries can be accommodated. Cost and time frame is dependent on designer. A piece of advice, make sure that you pair your bridal gowns with your unique engagement rings. If you really want to stand out as the one-of-a-kind that you are, express yourself with a ring that is both unique and unusual, a true expression of your inner being. Unusual diamonds are perfect for these rings. Wear a one-of-a-kind work of art for your engagement ring. Choose designs that are inspired by creative minds that love to think outside the box, inspired by fantasy, architecture, space, and artistic design.

When buying an engagement ring or choosing a custom made wedding ring, it is important to know the specific characteristics of the diamond you are buying. Diamond cut quality (also called diamond facet quality) is one of the most obvious and important characteristics of a diamond. Poorly cut diamonds can reflect a lot of light back out of the diamond, (making it appear darker and dull). Look for round brilliant cut (or princess cut) diamonds which are cut to maximize their sparkle and brilliance.

The clarity of your stone is another important characteristic to consider when purchasing a diamond ring or an anniversary ring for your loved one! Clarity refers to the amount of imperfections in the gem’s structure – blemishes / inclusions inside the gemstone which affect its clarity grade and its visual appearance to the human eye when examined under 10x magnification by a trained professional jeweler or a Gemologist.

A poorly graded rated inclusion can affect the beauty of a center-stone in a solitaire setting or even ruin the symmetry of a ring design if there are too many flaws visible. GIA certified stones are independently evaluated and are guaranteed to be free of any major internal defects like cracks or white spots that could compromise the integrity of the precious gems in your jewelry piece.

Mother of the bride dresses and bridesmaids dresses should be ordered 3-5 months prior to the wedding. Rush deliveries are available and cost and time frame are dependent on designer.

Flowergirl dresses should be ordered 3 months prior to the wedding. Rush orders can be accommodated. Cost and time frame is dependent on designer.
